New Feature: Bullpen Usage Page
Sunday March 31st, 2013

The Bullpen Usage page shows how relievers are used. (US Presswire)
This newest feature comes off the heels of our My Lineup feature, Android Lineup App, and the addition of weather forecast information to the lineup page.
The Bullpen Usage page is designed to provide the same functionality as the current features on the site. We strive to provide a unique approach to each feature we add, while also keeping the data fast, clean, and free.
The Bullpen Usage page provides users with a look at the total pitches thrown during a game, which could be valuable for fantasy owners searching for potential relievers who could pick up a save when the normal "closer" is off for the day. It also allows users to view bullpens to see which pitcher is receiving the most work recently.
We did what we could to make the Bullpen Usage page self-explanatory. However, if you need some help, here are some instructions and pointers...
- The data shown is for the total number of pitches thrown by that reliever. The teams are sorted alphabetically, with the National League being on the right side, and the American League on the left side (like it is on the Lineups page).
- The data shown for a pitcher is his most recent outing (excluding today's results). For example, if you view the page on April 2, 2013, you will see data for April 1, 2013 and back.
- The data shows the last three days of work for that pitcher. For example, if you view the page on Monday, you would see Sunday, Saturday, and Friday.
- The date/calendar option allows a user to go back in time. So if we are currently in the month of May, you can check on a relievers work during the month of April if you choose to do so.
- The "reset" button will return you to the current date with yesterday;s game data.
- When "0" is listed, the pitcher did not throw for his team during the game.
- When "N/G" is listed, the pitcher's team did not have a game that day (off-days).
- Currently, the data listed applies for pitchers who have not started a game within the past ten days. The ultimate goal was to only show relievers, however, certain exceptions could apply.
- If a pitcher is listed on the disabled list, he will not show up.
- If a pitcher is not on the forty-man roster or not listed on the active roster, he will not show up.
We hope you enjoy the Bullpen Usage page. Our goal is to provide a unique baseball experience for our readers. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know.

Nice! There seems to be a fair amount of superb fantasy baseball content (but zero comments) out there on the interwebs. Does it really all fall on deaf ears? Not for this guy. May the richness of your knowledge and willingness to share it someday make you rich! Or just great at fantasy baseball.

Awesome job on this Reggie!! This is really concise and well organized and will be a great help for all cappers who analyze bullpens which should be all of them.

This is a great piece of info! If I see one of my relievers has pitched 2 or 3 days in a row, I can sit him on my bench without having to worry about him pitching that day. Would be nice to see those columns added to the My Lineup page.

@redsfanman - Interesting idea, I'll see what we can do, including starters and relievers.

This is great stuff! Have you thought about using a different colored font for the current closer for each team and perhaps coloring the two potential candidates for saves a different color as well?

Oh great, just what I need, another addiction. Caught your podcast, loved it. Got the app for my droid, going to set up a fanduel acct. Can't help but to wonder what the over/under will be before I'm sleeping on the couch. Just kidding, great job guys.

So what is the best way to use this data? I've downloaded the past 15 days. I'd like to start a mid-reliever every now and then, to help with stats? Thoughts?
