Baseball Press is looking for a writer. Is it you?
If you have baseball knowledge, a passion for the game, and serious writing skills, you could be writing for Baseball Press.
As you may or may not know, the Baseball Press team hasn't been around long but has made some noise in its short existence. We've been referenced several times by USA Today, we've written a season preview for a national magazine, our Facebook page has exceeded 200 fans, our Twitter page is up over 350 followers, our site traffic and podcast downloads have increased, and we've even had a writer make a guest appearance on Sirius satellite radio.
While this is all fantastic, we're looking to get a new writer to provide more great, original content to consistently to our readers.
Ideal candidates for Baseball Press have a solid writing background and thorough baseball knowledge. An interest in minor league teams and players is a definite plus. Most importantly, we want someone who is passionate and committed to regularly contributing to the site throughout the off-season and through next year. The time and work involved doesn't suit everyone, but for some it's just right.
So what do Baseball Press writers get in return for their hard work? There's no monetary compensation at this point, unfortunately. Writers do, however, get a byline for anything they write and can point to online publications here as writing credits. Also, work for Baseball Press can definitely get some exposure for an aspiring baseball writer.
But the biggest reward is being a part of something that you're passionate and excited about. Everyone here at Baseball Press believes in the greatness of the game and has a desire to express that interest.
If this sounds like you, please email us at [email protected] for more details.
