-The Cubs may not have won a World Series in over a hundred years, but they do have Bill Murray as a fan, and he put on quite a show during his opening pitch on Thursday .

-A new Minnesota Twins commercial starring Kent Hrbek pays tribute to The Big Lebowski. Mark it, Dude.

-Adam Wainwright was rather surprised on Sunday when the prize in a fan giveaway was his pickup truck.

-Torii Hunter experienced some early season excitement on Wednesday when he accidentally set off his own home alarm and had police show up and draw their guns until he could properly identify himself.

-The esteemed George Will has a fun and challenging quiz of opening day brain teasers.

-D.J. Gallo of ESPN.com gives a rundown of the best and worst fan giveaways coming up this season. One just has to hope there are no fan revolts on the night the Twins give away free light bulbs.

-Looking to spice up the 2012 MLB season? Grantland's Jonah Keri might get you addicted to prop betting.

-Director Barry Levinson (Rain Man, The Natural) will direct a biopic film based on Hank Aaron's pursuit of Babe Ruth's all-time home run record . Aaron will reportedly act as a consultant on the movie.

-Add another one to the freak injury list- Rockies pitcher Josh Outman hits the DL due to a strained oblique, which he injured after vomiting due to food poisoning.

-The Marlins and Logan Morrison are teaming up to present "LoMo's Ladies" to the stands in 2012 . Still no word on if the Washington Nationals will be announcing "Harper's Honeys" when prospect Bryce Harper arrives later this year.

-Barry Zito's latest spring experiment is over, so it looks like it's back to unicorn power.
