Another one of the upper-tier free agent pitchers found a home on Thursday afternoon, as Ryan Dempster signed a two-year deal with the Boston Red Sox.

The Los Angeles Angels landed outfielder Josh Hamilton on a $125 million, five-year deal. He will play LF for the Angels and likely bat behind Albert Pujols in the lineup.

The MLB hot stove continued to sizzle on Tuesday when it was announced that a three-way deal between the Reds, Indians, and Diamondbacks would send Cleveland outfielder Shin-Soo Choo to the Reds and Arizona pitching prospect Trevor Bauer to the Indians, with several other players moving as well.

Late Sunday night, the Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals were ironing out a six player trade which involved sending starting pitcher James Shields and righthander Wade Davis along with cash, or a player to be named later, to the Royals in exchange for prospects outfielder Wil Myers, pitcher Jake Odorizzi, pitcher Mike Montgomery, and third baseman Patrick Leonard.

The Los Angeles Dodgers landed the best free-agent starting pitcher this weekend, as the team announced a six-year, $147 million contract with Zack Greinke.

On Tuesday evening the Tampa Bay Rays acquired Yunel Escobar from the Miami Marlins in exchange for infield prospect Derek Dietrich. This is the second time Escobar has been traded this off-season, in early November the Marlins had acquired him in an 11-player trade with the Toronto Blue Jays.
