Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching strikeouts, Grinding Metal has you covered. Week 6 is here, so let's start things off.

Hunter Greene, SP, Cincinnati Reds
Despite a 1-6 record, which is likely linked to playing on a horrible team, Greene can provide a big strikeout boost for your fantasy team. He may only pitch between 5-7 innings, but he should continue to strike out hitters at an above average rate. Over his last two starts, he has 15 strikeouts in 12.2 innings pitched. However, owners should be concerned about the walks - as his command can be erratic at times. He's owned in less than 35% of leagues, and has a start against the Toronto Blue Jays later this week.

Danny Jansen, C, Toronto Blue Jays
After missing a bulk of time to start the season due to an oblique injury, Jansen has already hit a home run in his return, giving him three on the season. Jansen figures to be the likely every day catcher, but Alejandro Kirk could split some time with Jansen behind the plate. Regardless, the catcher position is a pitfall, so even if Jansen hits as the DH, he's still worth a spot.

Brandon Marsh, OF, Los Angeles Angels
The speedy outfielder is hitting .284/.339/.431 with three stolen bases and 4 home runs to start the 2022 season. He hits lower in the order for the Angels, but with the way the offense is going for the Halos, it doesn't matter where he hits. His ownership numbers are very low - less than 30% of leagues, and he has a favorable hitting matchup this week, as he faces the Texas Rangers & Oakland Athletics this week, respectively.
