Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching wins, Grinding Metal has you covered. Check out these players for immediate roster help. Here was last week's article. Check back for future editions of Grinding Metal.

Jesse Chavez, RP/SP, Chicago Cubs
Regular closer Pedro Strop may be sidelined a while due to a hamstring issue suffered during the makeup game with the Washington Nationals. The Cubs could use a closer by committee approach, but Chavez may be the likely candidate to see save opportunities. He has three saves since joining the Cubs while also posting a 1.45 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 31 innings.

Tyler White, 1B, Houston Astros
The Astros will continue to find a lineup spot for White, as he continues to produce in the month of September. He's hitting .303/.383/.612 with 12 home runs in 52 games this season. He usually splits his time between first base and DH.

Luis Castillo, SP, Cincinnati Reds
What was supposed to be a "breakout" year for Castillo has been anything but awful, but in September, Castillo has shown the hype that made him a potential sleeper heading into this season. In 3 September starts, Castillo is 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA and has struck out 27 hitters across 18 innings pitched. Furthermore, his change-up has been a fantastic strikeout pitch. Castillo's next test will come against the Cubs on Sunday.
