Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching wins, Grinding Metal has you covered. Check out these players for immediate roster help. Here was last week's article. Check back for future editions of Grinding Metal.

Austin Meadows, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates
The former 2013 first-round pick made his big-league debut this week, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base. Starling Marte landed on the disabled list, allowing the Pittsburgh top prospect to make his way to PNC Field. In 32 games at Triple-A, Meadows was hitting .294/.336/.397 with 8 stolen bases. Marte is out with an oblique injury, so Meadows will see plenty of at-bats.

Jesus Aguilar, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers
With Ryan Braun and Eric Thames both on the disabled list, Jesus Aguilar will have an opportunity to play first base full time - opposed to being a platoon option versus left-handed pitching. Aguilar, 27, is slugging .558 with 5 home runs.

Vince Velasquez, SP, Philadelphia Phillies
He has a .500 winning percentage to start the season, along with 55 strikeouts in 47.1 innings pitched. After a rough start in April, Velasquez has posted a 2.08 ERA in May, striking out 21 batters in 17.1 innings pitched.

Carlos Rodon, SP, Chicago White Sox
Rodon has yet to appear in a regular season game, but will make his first rehab start this weekend. He last pitched for the White Sox in September 2017, as he's been recovering from shoulder surgery. He's eligible to return from the disabled list in late May/early June.
