Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching wins, Grinding Metal has you covered. Check out these players for immediate roster help. Check out the previous edition of Grinding Metal here.

Jake McGee, RP, Colorado Rockies
After struggling in the second half, the Rockies removed Greg Holland from the closer role - in order for him to work on his slider. Lefty Jake McGee will likely be the favorite for ninth inning - for the foreseeable future. McGee is no stranger to the ninth inning, as he was the closer for the Tampa Bay Rays last season.

Byron Buxton, OF, Minnesota Twins
Buxton, 23, has teased fantasy owners more than once during his brief MLB career - showing signs of being great, only to head into a slump. However, since the second half of the season, Buxton is slashing .333/.370/.657 with 8 home runs and 8 stolen bases. The Twins are in the postseason hunt, and with Buxton playing better, perhaps owners can take advantage of this during the final month of the season.

Blake Snell, SP, Tampa Bay Rays
Tampa Bay has always had plenty of pitching prospects, and lefty Blake Snell is no different. Despite the 2-6 record, the month of August was very good for Snell, as he's posted a 2.97 ERA and struck out 28 hitters in 30.1 innings. His next start will be the on September 1st against the Chicago White Sox.
